The Best Locations for Texas A&M Graduation Photos


Graduating from Texas A&M is a pretty big deal, and your graduation photos should feel like it. Whether you want the classic Aggie photos, something a little more editorial, or a mix of both, College Station has no shortage of beautiful spots to celebrate your time at Texas A&M.


Here are some of my favorite locations for Texas A&M graduation photos.

1. Most Popular: The Administration Building


The Administration Building is the iconic grad photo spot for soon-to-be former students. This is one of my favorite locations for a more elevated look. These photos look great on your LinkedIn profile, your new Instagram profile picture, or even framed on your wall at home.


If you want the most classic Texas A&M graduation photo, this is the spot.


Pro tip: The lines to take photos with the columns can be 2+ hours long during March and April. If you have the flexibility, book your session for January or February to avoid the crowds and get your photos without spending half your afternoon waiting in line.

2. Aggie Park Graduation Photos


Aggie Park is one of my favorite spots for photos that feel a little more relaxed and natural. It gives you greenery, open space, and even the perfect spots to pop a bottle of your favorite Prosecco or champagne.


This is a great spot if you want photos that feel less posed and more like you are actually enjoying your last semester at Texas A&M.


I especially love Aggie Park for:

  • Photos that show the Aggie spirit
  • Photos with friends
  • Aggie ring details
  • A more relaxed, authentic look


Aggie Park photographs great at all times of the day, but 1–2 hours before sunset is my favorite time. I typically end sessions at Aggie Park so we can finish with a champagne pop!


It is also a great location to pair with the Administration Building if you want a gallery with a little more variety.

3. Kyle Field Graduation Photos


This is a classic spot for all the Aggie fans. Depending on your timeline and what you are interested in, we can incorporate Aggie Park with Kyle Field to get a little bit of everything. Almost all of the guys I photograph for grad photos want to include pictures around Kyle Field.


It is important to note that photos on the field at Kyle Field are limited to students with access to the facilities, such as student-athletes or student employees who work at Kyle Field. During Ring Day, students can also purchase a pass to enter Kyle Field.


Even if you don't have field access, there are still plenty of great photo opportunities around the stadium.


This is also a great spot for a more fun and personality-filled part of your session.

4. Military Walk


These are amazing classic photos, and I love this location for my Aggies who love the traditional A&M look.


Military Walk allows us to take photos in the classic areas of campus while also getting some amazing movement and walking photos in your gallery. The greenery mixed with the classic A&M architecture in the background makes this a great location for a variety of photos.


This location photographs great at almost any time, but I love 1–2 hours after sunrise or 1–2 hours before sunset. This location also works best on the weekends when there are not as many students walking around campus.

5. The Academic Building


This is one of my absolute favorite places on campus. If you want the classic Aggie look but hate waiting in line, this might be the spot for you.


The Academic Building is not as popular as the Administration Building, but it still gives you that classic A&M feel without the same crowds. We can get beautiful architectural photos here while keeping your session a little more relaxed.


Honestly, we can keep this location our little secret.

6. The YMCA Building


This location can be so fun. The white building with the green lawn offers a simple but beautiful backdrop and gives your photos a slightly different look from the traditional campus locations.


This location looks especially great with sorority stoles, your best friends, or other fun pops of color. I especially love this spot in the spring when everything is green.


If you are looking for something simple, classic, and elegant that not everyone else is doing, this could be the perfect location for you.

7. Bell Tower


The Bell Tower is a great option for any of my morning grad sessions. Because of the way the sun is oriented, we can get a great photo with campus in the background.


If we do this location in the evening, the light is best when we are looking toward West Campus. This location also typically has a beautiful flower bed, which can add some color and variety to your gallery.


And, of course, it can be another great spot to pop a bottle of champagne!


This location was one of my most requested spots a few years ago, and I still think it deserves a spot on the list.

8. The Gardens


This is one of my favorite spots that is not super popular. Located on West Campus, The Gardens provide an option for florals, color, and greenery in your session.


There are so many good photo spots here, which makes it easy to get a variety of looks without having to go all over campus.


While it is a great option for grad photos, I also love The Gardens for organization and staff photos, couples photos, proposals, engagement sessions, and high school senior photos.


I think this is a great option for my grads who want something a little different from the typical A&M graduation photos.

9. Your Favorite Spot on Campus


This one might be the most important.


Your graduation photos don't have to be limited to the places everyone else goes. Think about the places that actually meant something to you during your time at Texas A&M.


  • Your favorite study spot.
  • The building where you spent most of your time.
  • Your favorite place to meet friends.
  • The spot where you met your significant other.
  • The place you always walked through between classes.


Those little places can end up being some of the most meaningful photos in your gallery.

The Best Time for Texas A&M Graduation Photos


When you schedule your graduation photos can make a huge difference, especially if you have a specific location in mind.


January and February are some of my favorite months for Texas A&M grad photos because campus is generally less crowded than it is during the peak graduation season in March and April. If you have your heart set on the Administration Building, booking earlier can also help you avoid the long lines.


For the best light, I typically recommend scheduling your session 1–2 hours after sunrise or 1–2 hours before sunset, depending on the location. The exact timing can vary based on where we are shooting and what kind of look you want.


Weekends can also be a great option for popular campus locations because there are typically fewer students walking around.

So, Where Should You Take Your Graduation Photos?


The answer is: it depends on you!

If you want the classic Texas A&M graduation experience, the Administration Building is the obvious choice.

If you want something more natural, try Aggie Park or The Gardens.

If you want something that feels unmistakably Aggie, add Kyle Field.

If you want classic campus photos without the crowds, try the Academic Building or Military Walk.


And if you want a gallery that feels like your entire college experience, I offer packages that allow for multiple locations.


My favorite sessions usually include a mix of classic portraits, candid moments, campus landmarks, and photos that show off your personality.
